This is a form of training where it’s not just about the number of repetitions. Technique, precision and conscious engagement of the entire body are what matter most.

If you spend a lot of time at a desk, experience tension caused by a sedentary lifestyle, want to improve your posture or simply prefer a calmer but effective form of exercise, Pilates can be a great choice.

WHY IS PILATES WORTH PRACTISING?

Pilates focuses on the quality of movement. Instead of random or rushed exercises, you learn to consciously engage your muscles, use your breath properly and stabilise your body.

Regular classes can help with:

  • strengthening the deep core muscles responsible for body stability,
  • improving body posture,
  • developing greater body awareness,
  • improving mobility and flexibility,
  • strengthening the abdominal, back, glute and leg muscles,
  • improving movement control and coordination,
  • reducing muscle tension associated with everyday activities,
  • improving overall fitness and comfort of movement.

Pilates can also be an excellent complement to other forms of physical activity. For people who practise martial arts, running, strength training or other sports, it can provide additional work on stability, mobility and movement control.

PILATES AND DEEP CORE MUSCLES

One of the most important elements of Pilates is working with the deep core muscles.

These muscles help stabilise the body and maintain proper alignment during movement. A strong core is important not only during exercise, but also in everyday activities such as walking, bending, lifting objects or sitting for long periods.

During our classes, you learn how to activate the appropriate muscle groups and control your movements.

This means that Pilates is not simply about strengthening the muscles you can see. We also work on the deeper muscles that play an important role in maintaining overall body stability.

PILATES AND PROPER POSTURE

Modern lifestyles often involve spending many hours in front of a computer, using a phone or sitting behind the wheel.

Staying in the same position for long periods can contribute to muscle tension and unhealthy movement habits.

Pilates allows you to focus on conscious body alignment, stability and control of individual movements.

During the exercises, we pay attention to the position of the spine, pelvis, shoulders and head, as well as the correct activation of the muscles.

Pilates combines physical work with concentration and mindful movement.

During each class, you focus on what is happening in your body. You control your breathing, pace and the way each exercise is performed.

After a class, many people particularly appreciate the feeling of lightness, relaxation and a greater connection with their own body.
