Differences vetween BJJ Gi
and NoGi

In our club, we offer two unique varieties of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training: with kimonos (Gi) and without (BJJ NoGi). Here are the key differences between them:

BJJ Gi training: During BJJ Gi sessions, we use traditional kimonos. One of the main differences is the ability to grab the outfit, which opens up additional possibilities for controlling your partner and using various techniques.

BJJ NoGi training: In the case of BJJ NoGi, shorts and a rashguard are required, eliminating the element of grabbing the outfit. This is a more dynamic and fast-paced type of training, which puts more emphasis on physical fitness and the ability to adapt to different conditions. Grappling, or grappling, is an important element of training, where grappling techniques, levers, and chokes are key. It is a dynamic and fast-paced variation that eliminates the element of grabbing attire. Whether you choose BJJ Gi or NoGi training, at Kotwica MMA Team, you will find an atmosphere that supports the development of both traditional and modern aspects of this fascinating martial art. Come and discover how Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can benefit every aspect of your athletic development.

Papers from history:

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), whose roots lie in Japanese ju-jutsu, wrestling and judo, has grown into one of the most effective martial arts. Focused on ground fighting, BJJ assumes that most real fights end on the ground. Its tactics include taking down the opponent and dominating them on the ground, and ultimately applying finishing techniques such as joint locks or chokes. BJJ training begins with the goal of taking down the opponent and moving to the ground, where domination skills and finishing techniques are key. In BJJ, the main emphasis is on grips, eliminating strikes during training and sports fights. The levels of advancement are marked with colored belts: white, blue, purple, brown and black. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gained huge popularity thanks to the first MMA tournaments, where representatives of this martial art dominated in ground fights. Currently, BJJ and Submission Fighting are inseparable elements of cross-training for MMA competitors, enjoying recognition and respect in the world of martial arts.
